Bonnie Dolan teaches using a combination of Viewpoints techniques and Stanislavski training, with a dash of Uta Hagen for good measure. Focus is given to awareness of self, awareness of the ensemble, and the specific sending and receiving of energy, as well as freedom of the instrument to play and expand beyond what is thought possible.
She was and is mentored by Alexandra Billings, master teacher in Viewpoints.
“Bonnie understands the nature of the joyful noise. Students need to play. It is both a tool and a gift, and Bonnie’s way of communicating this is profound. Her knowledge of the skill of acting is her touchstone, but the foundation; is laughter. It is the release and pure joy in the actual Doing. She believes, and has reminded me constantly, it is the practice of remembering how to play that is, in fact, the play itself.”

Bonnie is a member of the Theatre Arts performance faculty at California State University, Long Beach, and at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, CA.
